Poem

Absence

Life is full of unexpected twists and turns, some good some bad but it always has an impact on the way you live.

Earlier this year I had an unexpected positive change. My husband and I had been living two separate lives, in different countries. He had been searching for work locally but unsuccessfully.

One morning he decided it was time to leave his job. It was a huge risk but thankfully one that paid off. However, it had been a few years since we had lived together and so everything else was put on hold so we could concentrate on learning how to live as a family again. This is the reason why I haven’t managed to blog in the last few months.

However, it’s not because I haven’t tried and this was often the result of my many attempts…

The pages lay bare,
And the story untold.
A full cup of coffee
Had been left to go cold.
A gentle thud from a pencil,
As it fell to the floor
As the owner dozed off
And started to snore!

I do plan to be back posting on a regular basis again now that things have calmed down a little. Looking forward to reading and commenting on others blogs again as well.
